This article presents a great idea. It is always my recommendation when faced with a client computer that is infected to remove the hard drive and use it in slave mode in order to disinfect it. Of course, my first preference for any infected computer is to completely wipe it and re-install. But sometimes that isn't possible. With a linux live cd toolkit, you will be able to much more safely work to rid the windows hard drive of any viruses or malware without risking further damage or your network.
