Windows, Linux to run on Eucalyptus cloud

Open source mimic of Amazon Web Services runs Windows as well as Linux Eucalyptus Systems has released an update to the commercial version of its private cloud software, Eucalyptus Enterprise Edition.

    I am currently taking Eucalyptus for a test drive and will report back with a full review and tutorial at a later date.

    I can tell you at this point that the installation was very smooth. I used CentOS 5.3 64-bit. I also set up the Firefox HybridFox plugin which looks very much like ElasticFox. These are tools normally used with the Amazon Web Service cloud. Eucalyptus is essentially a private cloud clone of AWS.

    I am very excited to begin working with and exploring this IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) technology.
